A haunted and lost world

"Good idea but why not have me scope the place out first. You could use a scout." Ben said.

"So you can tell them that we're coming? Not likely!" Jade snorted.
"I'll go." Elex offered. "After all I was sent to get rid of you guys anyway."

"Alright...But be careful." Ben said.

Melanie flew low over the ground around to the north side and dropped Elex off and the cockatrice ran around to the front.

"How do we know he won't just rat on us?" He asked.

"I've known Elex for a long time. He hates Reaver. He would never betrey my trust." Laura replied.

"Well he better be careful either way..."

Dander curled up watching and waiting, ears pricked up.

Elex ran around to the front entrance, the guards allowing him to pass.

Reaver was locked in his room. Waiting for some good news.

Meanwhile Kiagre continued to pace in her cell, constantly alert.

Elex walked cautiously through the castle.

Melanie meanwhile, bashed down the large metal door and caught it before it made any sound and then jumped down into the dark hole.

Dander hopped off Melanie and followed her into the hole silently on four paws, her small feral size helping her stay in the shadows.

Krory lay in his cell. Breathing heavily.

Hearing the faint remnants of the echo of a metallic crash somewhere a distance off in the castle, Kiagre stopped pacing and stood in front of Krory, listening. It was probably just more commotion like what she heard earlier. She lay down against the bars of the cell, hearing nothing more except Krory's breathing.

Dander slunk after Melanie, keeping her ears low.

Elex crept down the corrider leading down to the cells.

Reaver sat in his private chamber listening... He locked the door so nobody was getting in. But he also wasn't getting out...He hoped it wasn't for the worst...

The cockatrice peered around the corner to see the guards and he slowly walked toward them.
"Greeting Elex. How did your mission go?"
"Very well." He replied smoothly, he then opened his mouth, a poisonous gas seeping from his mouth and choking the guards. Elex then smashed open the door and walked down the aisle of cells.

Krory sat up hearing the door smash open. A rescue!! He began to mew loudly.

Elex quicked his pace at hearing the mewing and stopped at the cell it was coming from and looked through the bars.

"Down here!" The excited voice of the badly cut Manticore called. "Please get us out of here."

Elex struck out with his talons, hitting the lock which caused sparks to fly off and the lock split down the middle and Elex slipped through the door.

"Do you know Nyy? Or Mel? Or Jade?"

"How about I know all three." Elex smiled.

"Are they okay??" He asked eagerly.
